Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 7, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how My Peak LLC ("MyPeak", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information when you use the MyPeak website, mobile application and related services.
MyPeak is a sport performance and training workflow platform. It is not a medical device, does not provide diagnosis, treatment, emergency monitoring or clinical decision support, and should not be used as a substitute for professional medical advice.
1. Controller and contact
For privacy purposes, the controller or business responsible for this Policy is My Peak LLC.
Privacy contact: privacy@mypeak.io.
2. Information we collect
Depending on the features you use, permissions you grant and integrations you connect, we may process the following categories of information:
- account information, such as name, email address, profile settings and authentication data;
- training and activity information, such as workouts, steps, distance, speed, training load, energy expenditure and related statistics;
- fitness and wellness signals, such as sleep, heart rate, heart rate variability, resting heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, blood oxygen, body measurements and similar performance indicators;
- location data, including precise location and background location when you enable workout route tracking;
- device, app and integration metadata needed to operate the service, synchronize data and prevent abuse;
- website usage data, cookies and similar technologies used for analytics, security and service improvement;
- support and communication data when you contact us.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- provide and maintain the MyPeak website, app and related services;
- display activity, workout, recovery and readiness statistics inside the platform;
- calculate training load, trends and other sport performance indicators;
- synchronize permitted data from connected devices, operating system frameworks and third-party services;
- record workout routes and calculate distance, speed, elevation and movement statistics when location access is enabled;
- provide support, account management, security, diagnostics and abuse prevention;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce applicable terms.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use fitness, wellness or location data for advertising profiling.
4. Legal bases under GDPR
If the GDPR or similar privacy laws apply, we rely on the following legal bases:
- contract necessity to provide the services you request;
- consent for optional permissions such as location, Health Connect, Apple Health or similar integrations;
- legitimate interests for service security, diagnostics, fraud prevention and product improvement where those interests are not overridden by your rights;
- legal obligation where processing is required by applicable law.
Some fitness, wellness and location signals may be treated as sensitive personal data under applicable law. We process that information only where you grant permission, where it is necessary for the requested service, or where another lawful basis applies.
5. Location data and background use
MyPeak may request access to precise location to support personal workout and route features. Location can be used to record a route, calculate distance, speed, elevation and movement statistics, and show activity history.
Background location may be used only when a workout or route-tracking feature needs to continue while the app is not open or the screen is locked. This use is tied to active training functionality and can be stopped by ending the workout, disabling the feature or changing system permissions.
Location data is not sold, shared with data brokers, used for advertising profiling or used to track you outside MyPeak features.
6. Health, fitness and connected services
On supported platforms, MyPeak may request access to fitness and wellness data through system frameworks such as Health Connect, Apple Health or connected wearable services. We access this information only after you grant permission through the relevant platform or service.
You can revoke these permissions at any time in operating system settings, Health Connect, Apple Health or the connected-service settings.
7. Cookies and analytics
We may use cookies, local storage and similar technologies for website operation, analytics, security and performance measurement. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Some service features may not work correctly if required cookies or storage are disabled.
8. How we disclose information
We may disclose personal information only in limited cases:
- to service providers that host, secure, monitor or support the platform under contractual confidentiality obligations;
- to integrations you choose to connect or organizations you choose to work with through the platform;
- to comply with law, legal process or enforceable governmental requests;
- to protect the rights, safety and security of users, MyPeak or others;
- as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring or similar business transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards.
We do not sell personal information and do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
9. International transfers
We may process and store personal information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent lawful transfer mechanisms.
10. Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the services, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce agreements. We delete or de-identify personal information when it is no longer needed for these purposes.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encrypted transmission where appropriate, access controls and operational monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
12. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of or portability of your personal information. You may also have rights to object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent, appeal a denied request, opt out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising, and limit the use of sensitive personal information.
MyPeak does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If that changes, we will update this Policy and provide legally required choices.
To exercise privacy rights, contact privacy@mypeak.io. We may need to verify your request before acting on it. You may also request account deletion through /account-delete/.
If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom or Switzerland, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
13. Children
MyPeak is not directed to children under 13. If a team, club, school or other organization uses MyPeak with younger athletes, that organization is responsible for obtaining any required parental or guardian consent. If you believe a child provided personal information without proper consent, contact us so we can review and delete it where required.
14. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The current version will be published on this page with the updated date.
